All of the videos, work, and extra links about the novel study can be found on this page

I found the video below on Youtube. It is great for describing the plot diagram in more detail, using a familiar story like The Lion King as an example. Topics are easier to understand when we have examples we can connect with and relate to. (Ignore the section at the end of the video where she talks about the assignment, that is not our assignment :P)

This word document and picture give you some more information on the plot diagram, what the different parts mean, and where we usually find them in a story.

New Video lesson going over the questions in the novel study- you don't have to watch it all in one sitting. Instead, watch it at your own pace, to support you on the pages you are on. If you have finished some pages, you can go back and take and watch the lessons on those pages and maybe add more to your answers.

-Remember, everyone works at their own pace. It's about the journey, not how fast you can make it to the finish line :)

Novel Study

**Starting the week of April 14**

Copies of the novel study work were sent home in the packages. Books were given upon request of the parent or student. There are also tons of free books on EPIC books (see email link) and I have "assigned" some suggestion on there if you need some. Any book from home will work as well.

I have uploaded extra copies of the work here. If you ever need to re-print any items, you can find them easily.

EPIC BOOKS INFO:

If you have already signed up for epic books through the link provided on your email, you will see that I have "assigned" you with a few book options. If the website is asking you for a class code, ours is hdz2429. As you start to think about what novel you want to do in the coming weeks (if you don't have one already) you can take a look at the assigned ones and choose from one of those. They are not mandatory, but if you are looking for some recommendations of what to read, check those out. :)

**Watch the video on the homepage for your focus this week.
