Creating a routine is important, but it also has to be one that fits you and your family!! In this section, I am providing you with a starting point for how you could structure some of the activities on the website, and what types of things you might want to try to fit into your daily routine. These do not have to be done in this order, or all at once. Not all activities need to be done daily. Try staggering them throughout the day.

Journaling *daily: (15-25min) A great warm-up to the day- this can be done in the morning when you are ready to start some school work. You'll find the journaling expectations and prompts on the 'Literacy' page. Journaling should take you 25-30 minutes. Try not to rush through it, take your time to develop ideas and work on your sentences.

Read and Respond OR Novel Study*daily: (25-30 min)Take a few minutes each day to work on your chosen article. You can choose to read the whole article first, then answer questions, or try and answer while you go. Taking time to break up the article during the week will help you feel less overwhelmed :). (This will switch to novel study down the road)

Breaks : Taking breaks is important! Don't forget to schedule breaks. Schedule some time for SNACKS!!! And getting some fresh air, stretching and walking around.

Math *daily: (30-40 min) Answer some review questions from the math worksheets *(new uploads on Mondays and Wednesdays). Watch some links if you need clarification, and if you like, sign in to your Matheletics account for math games!

Silent Reading *daily (20-30 min): Silent reading is an important part of a daily routine. It can be done throughout the day, after dinner, or before bed. Remember to log what you're reading on the "Literacy" page.

SEL and CREATIVITY (20 min): If you would like, have a look through some of the SEL and creative activities on the site, try to add one into your day for 20 minutes.

Physical Activity (30-45 min): Check out the links to YouTube videos you can do.
